Clinical Focus
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. As we begin our work together, I will ask non- judgmental questions to help identify/name your current struggle. From there, we will work together to determine strategies/techniques that work best for you. In addition to the listed modalities, I am currently receiving intensive training in narrative therapy through the Evanston Family Therapy Center. Narrative therapy asserts that the stories we tell ourselves about our problems can harm or heal us. Through the use of narrative techniques, we work toward "re-authoring" or "re-telling" your story in a way that empowers you and instills hope for the future. I am particularly interested in incorporating narrative techniques in my work with children and adolescents, as story-telling is a concept that children know best.
